Zenith TV 1980
This is a Zenith TV ad from the back of a National Geographic magazine December 1980 issue. I guess with this TV set the idea was releasing a new circuit showing 25% more picture and sharpness with four speakers. Featuring some true to life sound, which considering the HDTV sets you can buy now I don't think they even offer this kind of control over the sound, of course sound is better now, and being able to turn your left speakers sound above your right speaker sound doesn't seem so great now, but its cool to look back on the type of features that made the older TV sets what they are.
Interesting feature is the offering of 105 channels, I have had many TV sets over the years, and many during the 90s and none I had ever went past I think 69 channels. Even the HDTV you buy now doesn't go past channel 69 I think, at least my current 42 inch Vizio LED doesn't. Weird, and sucks because it would be nice if there were more local channels offered. I think its a UHF VHF thing though, odd that was never improved over all these years.
